In her own words...

My History

Dylan and Sean are connected! I'm Sean's sibling and we have loving,
protection, stoicism, support, and courage.
My mother was neglectful, abusive, and traumatic to Dylan and Sean, 0 -
18 years old. My father left Dylan in 11 months and Sean in 2 weeks. The
Adverse Childhood Experiences are my 9/10 times and chronic PTSD.
I have a 4.0 GPA in High School. I'm UC Davis in the basketball college
and B.S. Physiology. My basketball college is Dani, Elizabeth, Ellie, Cathy,
and Laurie. Laurie and I were partners for 12 years in the 20s.
I have eight years as a Sales and Regional Manager. I have at night a J.D.
and a day job at Cook, Inc. I am an attorney educated at McGeorge Law
with a 3.8 GPA and the Order of the Coif.
I have been a Presiding judge in Juvenile Court. I was in charge of the
rehabilitation and encourage of children. I work with parents with 60%
rehabilitation. My judge is the United Juveniles, the Welfare (CPS) and
Juvenile Justice System. 35% in the Juvenile Justice have no parent(s) -
CPS and probation within 1 year. My judge’s Pretrial Release-Supervision
Program is a $750,000 grant. I've reduced juvenile incarceration from
40-45% to 10-13%. My Judge is all: restraining order, small claims,
unlawful detainer, CPS, Juvenile Justice; criminal and civil.
My FTD/PPA Diagnosis
Frontal Temporal Dementia/Primary Progressive Aphasia
My Non-fluent Primary Progressive Aphasia Frontal Temporal Dementia
diagnosis was in November 2022. Dr. Claire Clelland was my neurologist
starting 4/2/2023.
I worked with Jen on working through the stages of grief - denial, anger/
frustration, bargaining, depression/sadness, and acceptance.
My neuroplasticity is in the right hemisphere. My frontal lobe is more
significant and smaller than defective talking, writing, and reading.

My Self Discovery
Dylan’s upbringing resulted in chronic PTSD, ADHD, and dyslexia. Dylan
did a workshop on Mindfulness Self-Compassion in September and
October of 2019 led by Jen Ballerini. And has pursued therapy ever since.
In late 2023, Dylan did Ketamine Therapy also with Jen, and it really
helped Dylan get in touch with emotions.
Jen Ballerini, therapist, in my low chronic PTSD at present, happy,
curious, grateful, and courage. My anxiety is the slow breathing, inhaling,
and exhaling.
I support and love Danielle and Elizabeth. Dylan’s support group, which
consists of loving Dani, Laurie, Cathy, Ellie, Julie, and Khym.

My Journey as an Artist
Dr. Claire Clelland and I saw UnRavelled* (A play by Jake Broder about
love, art, science and who we are on the most profound level) on
7/21/2023. It is my inspiration and sad—the women’s FTD painting Art.
You are in the right hemisphere!
Two days later I created my first pencil drawings - Flowers and my
journey as an artist had begun. First art shown was at Pence Gallery in
Davis. My “Flower Cement” is from April 13, 2024. I'm dreaming of
teenage courage. I'm happy and curious!

* ”Incorporating research and interviews conducted by Jake Broder as a Hellman Visiting Artist at UCSF’s Memory and Aging Center, UnRavelled explores the fascinating connection between the work of Canadian painter Anne Adams (1940–2007) and French composer Maurice Ravel (1875–1937), both of whom lived with the same rare brain disease.”
